Our Design Process

Every project starts with a clear, structured design process.

Below is an overview of what you can expect when working with Seguin's Design & Contracting Inc.

1. Initial Consultation

We start with a consultation to discuss your goals, timeline and property details. This may be done in person, or virtually, depending on the project and location.

2.Design Agreement & Deposit

Following the initial consultation, a design agreement outlining the scope, fees, deposit and timeline is provided.

3. Concept Design

Preliminary drawings are developed based on your needs and the applicable building and zoning requirements.

4. Preliminary Review & Client Feedback

A preliminary review meeting is held, or feedback is provided virtually. Client comments and requested changes are collected at this stage to guide the next phase of design.

5. Permit-Ready Drawings

Final Drawings are prepared for building permit submission. Coordination with engineers or other professionals is completed where required.

6. Permit Submission & Review

Drawings may be submitted by the homeowner or by our team, depending on the project scope. We remain available to address municipal comments or requested revisions during the review process.
